Recognized by WhereYouMakeIt.com as one of the 10 best campgrounds in the state of Texas and recently featured on the front page of the Tyler Morning Telegragh, The Trails is quickly becoming one of the most popular RV parks in East Texas!

“The Trails provides a country getaway, with warm Southern hospitality as the main priority.”

The Trails at Lavender Road is more than just a place to park your RV for the night. We are a community full of many great people who enjoy nature and appreciate the simple things in life. Conveniently located north of Tyler, TX and accessed easily off Interstate 20, our park is close enough to Tyler, Lindale, and Longview to fulfill your city needs, while also providing the perfect country getaway.

Our park is surrounded by a variety of large trees, including beautiful East Texas pines, providing plenty of shade and separation from the interstate nearby. The rolling hills of East Texas allow for many great vantage points across our property. Dean, our Park Manager, is available on-site 24/7. Dean is always willing to help and greet guests upon their arrival. Treating guests like family is our number one priority and we do so in a comfortable, country setting.

We’ve built a bathhouse and laundromat available for all guests to use. The walk-in showers are oversized, the bathrooms are always clean, and the laundromat is always open because we know sometimes it’s nice to have space away from the RV. Feel free to walk the beautiful 25-acre property or let your dog off the leash inside our brand-new dog park.

Dean has been with The Trails ever since the first guest pulled into the RV park. One day he woke up to his wife and a cup of coffee as she told him “Dean, we’re building an RV Park”. Sure enough, Dean got started and he’s grown to love the park ever since. He’s the heart and soul of our community and truly strives to make everyone around him feel welcome and special. We hope Dean’s presence and consistent good nature adds a feeling of safety and security for all our guests.

Guests are certain to meet Dean’s dog Ariat over the course of their stay at The Trails. Ariat was rescued at the exit off I-20 and Lavender Road, just down the street from the entrance to our park. Of course, Dean immediately embraced Ariat as his own and Ariat has become another part of what makes this park so special.

The Trails is family owned and sits on acreage that has been with Dean’s family since the 1950s. It’s easy to see what makes the land so special as soon as you enter the RV park.

The idea to build the park came from having the unique opportunity to provide a country escape, while also offering convenient access to major cities and attractions around the area. What started as a simple idea has blossomed into what we now know today as The Trails at Lavender Road.

We hope all our guests see the same qualities we do in our RV Park. We’ll keep adding amenities, finding ways to further accommodate our guests, and keep building upon our little community so that more people can join us and escape the everyday.
